At MERA RD2, located inside RDU International Airport, we are currently interviewing candidates to join our team as Cashiers across our restaurant concepts in Terminal 2.
This front-of-house position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with people, providing exceptional guest service, and creating positive experiences for travelers throughout their journey.
Position Overview
As a Cashier, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming, friendly, and efficient dining experience for passengers traveling through the airport.
Team members in this role will be trained and set up for success in:
- Accurate and efficient order taking
- Register and POS system operation
- Menu knowledge and guest recommendations
- Processing payments and handling transactions
- Maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Delivering friendly, attentive, and personalized guest service

- Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred, but not required
Compensation
This is a tipped position.
- Base pay: $2.13 per hour
- Average tips: $100–$200 per day
This role offers strong daily earning potential in a high-traffic airport environment.
Schedule & Availability
Our restaurants operate from 3:30 AM until the last departing flight, though hours may vary based on airport operations.
Candidates should have:
- Flexible availability
- Early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday availability
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs within the airport environment
